1- How can I participate in the Census?
Participation in the census can be done through one of three options:
- Self-enumeration: a modern technical method that helps heads of households and individuals to complete the Census questionnaire through the website, without the need of the census interviewer visit.
- Field enumeration: Census interviewers will be visiting all households and individuals in the Kingdom in order to complete the questionnaire for those wishing to fill it out with the help of the census interviewer.
- Self-enumeration stations: they are located in various shopping centers, which will assist individuals and heads of households to fill out the census questionnaire with the help of the census interviewer.
2- Is the Census questionnaire available in different languages?
The questionnaire is available in seven languages: Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali and Filipino (Tagalog).
3- Is a household member's data collected if he\she is outside the kingdom during the census interviewer's visit?
The census targets all Saudi citizens living inside the Kingdom including citizens living temporarily outside the kingdom (for less than 12 months) for medical treatments, tourism, business, or studying purposes …etc., to be enumerated by the head of their household living inside the kingdom. It also targets permanent residents inside Saudi Arabia despite the state of their identification documents. Visitors for Hajj, Umrah or tourism are excluded from the Census.
4- Who is the person responsible for filling out the census questionnaire?
The head of the household or his representative.
5- If I have two households with two independent houses, do I have to do the enumeration in each house separately?
Yes, the data of all individuals (citizens and residents) in the Kingdom must be completed at the time of the Census reference night/ Census Day.
6- How long does it take to fill out the census questionnaire?
It takes around 5 minutes to fill it out for an individual and 30 minutes for the full household.
7- How can I participate in the Census if I was not at home?
Participation in the Census does not require staying at the housing unit, you can complete the Census questionnaire through the self-enumeration link: https://survey.saudicensus.sa/ar/

9- If I am outside the Kingdom, will I be able to participate in the Census?
Census questionnaire can only be completed from inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
10- Does the Census include household members who work in a different city?
Family members shall be included in the Census questionnaire and should not be excluded if they live in another city for work purposes only.
11- Does the Census include household members who live temporarily in the same housing unit?
The census questionnaire shall be completed only for household members living permanently in the same housing unit and does not include temporarily visitors.
