1- If you receive a letter requesting to complete data of an independent individual who does not live in the same house:

  • If you know that person who does not meet, we hope to urge the individual to enter and update data through self-enumeration link or send data of targeted individual (full name - ID number, mobile number) to customer support e-mail [email protected]

  • In the event that person is not known, the data of the recipient of the message (full name - ID number, mobile number) is sent to customer support e-mail [email protected] to be deleted from the family.

 
2- Upon receiving a letter requesting completion data of worker outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a final leave or leave and return and not sure of the worker’s return:

  • In the event that leave is final or is not sure of returning one day before assignment, then data of the recipient of the message (full name - ID number, mobile number) in addition to the worker’s ID number is sent to customer support e-mail [email protected] to be deleted from the family.

  • In the event that he died one day before assignment, then data of the recipient of the message (full name - ID number, mobile number) in addition to the deceased individual’s identity number is sent to customer support in order to be deleted from the family.

  • In the event that worker leaving one day after assignment, then the individual sent to him is informed that the data of the targeted individual is supposed to be filled in, as he is a member of the community according to the time assignment for the census, where the head of the family enters the self-enumeration link and fills data of this person.

  • If leaving of worker is (leave and return), then data of this individual is filled in as he is a member of the community according to the time assignment for the census, where the head of the family enters the self-enumeration link and fills in the data of this person.

3- When you try to enter into link to complete the data of the individual who is not complete, and a message appears thanking you for completing the data, and you cannot add:

The data of the recipient of the message (full name - ID number, mobile number) is sent to communicate with you directly to complete the data.

 

About the Saudi Census 2022

1- What is Population Census?

Saudi Census 2022 is the General Population and Housing Census for 2022, which collects and analyzes data on the population and housing of the Kingdom, so that it can be used by government, private sector, and community members as well.

 

2- What is the purpose of the Census?

Statistical data is the most important outputs of the census, and a key input that decision makers need to make informative decisions, based on reliable information, to assist in developing public services and various development programs, such as hospitals, schools, and urban planning for the population as it will also enable the private sector and investors to advance the development in the kingdom.

 

3- What is the date of the Saudi Census 2022?

The data collection phase will start on May 10, 2022

 

4- What are the most prominent data and information that will be collected in the census?

The questionnaire includes different characteristics, including: data on demographic characteristics, level of education, residence, employment status, and housing characteristics such as the number of rooms and the source of electricity .. etc.

 

5- What is the Census reference night/ Census Day?

The Census reference night or Census Day is the night to which the data entered in the census questionnaire must be attributed during the data collection phase on May 10.

Census Participation

1- How can I participate in the Census?

Participation in the census can be done through one of three options:

  • Self-enumeration: a modern technical method that helps heads of households and individuals to complete the Census questionnaire through the website, without the need of the census interviewer visit.
  • Field enumeration: Census interviewers will be visiting all households and individuals in the Kingdom in order to complete the questionnaire for those wishing to fill it out with the help of the census interviewer.
  • Self-enumeration stations: they are located in various shopping centers, which will assist individuals and heads of households to fill out the census questionnaire with the help of the census interviewer.

 

2- Is the Census questionnaire available in different languages?

The questionnaire is available in seven languages: Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali and Filipino (Tagalog).

 

3- Is a household member's data collected if he\she is outside the kingdom during the census interviewer's visit?

The census targets all Saudi citizens living inside the Kingdom including citizens living temporarily outside the kingdom (for less than 12 months) for medical treatments, tourism, business, or studying purposes …etc., to be enumerated by the head of their household living inside the kingdom. It also targets permanent residents inside Saudi Arabia despite the state of their identification documents. Visitors for Hajj, Umrah or tourism are excluded from the Census.

 

4- Who is the person responsible for filling out the census questionnaire?

The head of the household or his representative.

 

5- If I have two households with two independent houses, do I have to do the enumeration in each house separately?

Yes, the data of all individuals (citizens and residents) in the Kingdom must be completed at the time of the Census reference night/ Census Day.

 

6- How long does it take to fill out the census questionnaire?

It takes around 5 minutes to fill it out for an individual and 30 minutes for the full household.

 

 

7- If I am outside the Kingdom, will I be able to participate in the Census?

Census questionnaire can only be completed from inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

8- Does the Census include household members who work in a different city?

Family members shall be included in the Census questionnaire and should not be excluded if they live in another city for work purposes only.

 

9- Does the Census include household members who live temporarily in the same housing unit?

The census questionnaire shall be completed only for household members living permanently in the same housing unit and does not include temporarily visitors.

 

Self-enumeration

1- What is meant by self-enumeration and what are its objectives?

A new method that allows individuals and heads of households to fill out the Census questionnaire  electronically without the need for the Census interviewer's visit

 

2- What are the steps to participate in the self-enumeration?

  1. Visit the Saudi Census Portal.
  2. Click on Start Questionnaire icon
  3. Log in through “National Single Sign-On” or Census website
  4. Fill out the Census questionnaire
  5. Submit and confirm the Census questionnaire during the identified period (10 May – 25 May)

 

 

3- How can I edit the registered national address?

If the registered address does not belong to you, please answer No to the relevant question then locate the accurate address on the map

 

4- Does participating through self-enumeration require a census interviewer visit?

If you participate in the census through self-enumeration, there will be no need for the census interviewer’s visit

 

5- How to answer the occupation question if I cannot find my occupation from the list?

Occupation shall be according to the job sector and not by the job title. For example, Customer Support Manager the answer shall be Customer Service Manager.

 

6- How to answer the Economic Activity question If I cannot find the economic activity from the list?

Economic activity shall be selected according to the main activity practiced by the entity.

 

7- How can I complete the Census questionnaire of domestic workers?

  • What entity does he/she work for? The answer shall be: “Domestic Labor Sector”
  • What is the name of the entity she\he works for? The answer shall be: “Employer”
  • What is the economic activity of the entity in which she\he works? The answer shall be: “Family Activities” as an employer of domestic service members inside the house

 

Field Enumeration

How can I verify the identity of the census interviewer and make sure that he is working with the General Authority for Statistics?

You can verify his\her identity through the following:

  1. Ensure that the Census interviewer wears the Census uniform. (Vest, hat and identification card).
  2. Note that the Census interviewer uses a tablet of the General Authority for Statistics.
  3. Ensure that a text message is received stating that participation in the Census has been completed.
  4. Request to see the Census interviewer's identification card or the digital identification card, which can be verified through the census interviewer's Tawakkalna application.
Self-enumeration Stations

What are the self-enumeration stations (kiosks)?

Self-enumeration stations are located in various shopping centers to assist individuals and heads of households to fill out the census questionnaire with the help of the census interviewer.

 

Data Privacy, Safety, and Security

1- How can I be sure that the census website is the official website?

You can confirm that the website is the official website of GASTAT through one of the following methods:

  1.  Enter GASTAT website, and then go to the official census portal
  2.  Scan the QR code on the sticker of the housing unit, which will direct you to the official census portal.
  3. Through the link shared with the head of the household via a text message to households who chose the self-enumeration.

 

2- Will my personal information that I share in the census be confidential?

The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) is committed to the highest levels of privacy and confidentiality towards individuals residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and participating in the census. GASTAT will not disclose to any person, entity or body any identifying or identity information related to individuals or any other data provided in the census questionnaire.

 

3- How does GASTAT prevent hackers or other unauthorized persons from accessing census information and data?

GASTAT has strong and advanced protection systems that prevent hackers or other unauthorized persons from accessing census information and data.

 

4- Is it possible for my personal information to be shared with any third parties other than GASTAT, whether governmental or private?
